This is a live recording from when Antonio De Innocentis visited California on October 22, 2003.
Asturias, also known as Leyenda, was written by Isaac Albeniz and originally performed on the piano in the key of G minor (Gm). Since then it has been transcribed for guitar and is a favorite among classical guitarists. What is significant about this performance, by Antonio De Innocentis, is that he plays Asturias in the original key of Gm. Asturias has been considered too difficult to play on guitar in this key (Gm) and why it is normally played in a different key. I have never heard of anyone else even attempting to play Asturias in Gm.
I have his entire concert recorded and if there is a positive response to this video I will upload the rest of his performance. Enjoy!

Well done, this really makes sense. I have played the duo version done by Scandinavian guitar duo also in g minor and I understand the differences and the difficulties. For me it sounds more authentic in the original key.

Antonio può percorrere senza esitazione le strade più impervie; questa volta lo ha fatto mediante la trascrizione del brano in tonalità originale. Travalicare il limite dell’agire comune è la naturale scelta dei grandi

Exactly for this he has decided to play it in G minor. And then not and absolutely awkward, rather it plays with safety, then to some he can thrill to others no, matter of tastes.
