For guitar what are the most important scales to learn?

what are the most important guitar scales to learn. and what are all the ones that i should learn?
please give the specific names of the scales

the pentatonic scales are usually the first scales learned on the guitar The major pentatonic and the minor pentatonic are actually the same scale with different root notes. This concept is known as relative major and minor. The C major / A minor is usually the first scale learned. The next scales would be the standard major scales. Once you learn all the positions of both types of scales then you can go on to more exotic scales. Get a good teacher who can show you how to play and use these scales, it will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Ive memorized the basic guitar scales now what?

Learn your minor pentatonics. Those are great for soloing etc. They are very easy, and can be applied to a lot. I use the Am pentatonic all the time!
